One board, signed
Before construction starts, every client receives a physical board with a sample of every material in the building, from the floor stone to the grout colour.
We both sign the back. From then on, any change to the board is a change to the contract, with a price and a date.
Why it works
Most arguments on site are about memory: what was agreed, and what it looked like. A board you can hold ends those arguments before they begin.
